Governor of Delta State, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease, becoming the latest governor to catch the virus.
Just yesterday, his Ondo State counterpart, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, also announced that his result came back positive.
The Ravens also learnt that Okowa’s wife also tested positive.
This is coming days after his daughter tested positive for the virus, which led him and his wife to quarantine as they awaited their result.
A statement on the official Facebook page of the governor confirms this development.
It reads: “My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.
