Chairman, Salman Shagaya Foundation, Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya has sent his condolence message on the passing of Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho (SAN), Kwara Governor’s father, describing him as a portrait of excellence.

The former lawmaker commiserated with the entire AbdulRazaq family, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in particular, Emir of Ilorin, and the people of Kwara State.

“I just received the terrible news on the death of Alhaji AGF Razaq, a model public official and consummate intellectual. He was the first lawyer from the Northern Region and until his passing the Chairman of the Nigerian Body of Benchers. Baba was a passionate reformer, who worked all his life for progress at state and national levels,” Shagaya said in a statement by Ibraheem Abdullateef, Press Secretary, Salman Shagaya Foundation.

He added: “His death comes at a time his guidance and experience were greatly needed by the nation and Kwara government as we undergo a critical phase. Nonetheless, lessons abound in his journeys enough to last everyone for life, especially the youth. May many AGFs springs from our emirate.”

Shagaya also prayed that Allah forgives the soul of the deceased, and reward his good deeds with paradise, while praying God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
