An assault victim, Abdulqudus Babatunde has cried out for financial and spiritual assistance from well-meaning individuals, as his health continues to deteriorate as an aftermath of a dastard attack launched against him.
Babatunde, 21, was attacked on Monday, August 10 by a street urchin, identified as Abulkareem Alaba in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Family sources told The Ravens that the young Babatunde, who makes and sells a snack, locally called ‘puff-puff’ along Adabata junction in Ilorin metropolis was subjected to heavy attacks by Alaba after his request of gifting him money or ‘puff-puff’ was declined.
The attack, which occurred on Monday evening, has put Babatunde in severe bodily damage and pains, as the merciless attacker reportedly poured hot vegetable oil on him during the face-off.

The Ravens also learnt that the victim has since been taken to Mimtaz Hospital, Apalara for medical treatment, but the family has been suffering from huge financial setback in settling medical bills and other miscellaneous expenses.
Enquiries made by our correspondent also revealed that the police has intervened in the matter, arresting the offender-Alaba who is in custody at the moment.
Efforts are also on to prosecute the suspect after due investigations are carried out by the police.
Speaking with The Ravens, a heartbroken family member covered with sadness and grief lamented the helpless situation of the victim’s family, noting that they are financially handipped to settle Babatunde’s medical bills.
He however acknowledged that some public-spirited persons have been supporting the course, adding that more assistance is needed to get the victim back on his feet.
