Lawmaker representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Dr Ibrahim Yahyah Oloriegbe has today empowered no fewer than 350 constituents with various start-up materials to strengthen their businesses and trade.

The empowerment programme is part of the constituency project facilitated by the senator under the aegis of the “2020 Zonal Intervention Project”.

The empowerment follows weeks of training and drilling which cut across various fields like Information Communication Technology (ICT); Fashion Designing; Baking among others.

Speaking at the event monitored by our reporter, Senator Oloriegbe reiterated that he would stay committed to his campaign promises and would always place his constituents above himself.

He advised the beneficiaries to make use of the skills learned and equipment given judiciously.

One of the beneficiaries, AbdulWahab AbdulWaheed, who spoke to The Ravens on the sidelines of the event, said he was delighted to be among the beneficiaries.

He prayed that the Almighty God would continue to be with the legislator, noting the laptop computer gifted to him would enhance his learning as a computer science student of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

On her part, another beneficiary, Mrs Ganiyah Ambali said procuring a grinding machine has been on her mind for a while, stating however that she’s financially incapacitated at the time to get one.

Mrs Ambali described the empowerment material as a great relief, praying that God would continue to be with Dr Oloriegbe.
