…recruits thugs to assault two

A frontline EndSARS advocate, Seun Kuti reportedly fired live rounds to disperse Facebook Hangout attendees on the eve of Saturday December 12.

Kuti is one of those who heavily criticised the Nigerian army for shooting into the air to disperse protesters at Lekki Toll Gate.

He has also spent years in condemning violent intimidation of citizens by the powers that be.

According to eye witness accounts, Kuti, who is 37 years old, was enraged by the manner the party attendees blocked the entrance of his home with their cars.

He, alongside some of his “thugs”, allegedly assaulted and battered one of the party attendees and a “bouncer”.

Narrating the incident, Temitayo Ayetoto tweeted:

Other eyewitnesses have since confirmed the narrative.

Meanwhile, Fela’s son has refused to clarify if he indeed fired live rounds and assaulted some persons.

He has however come under a barrage of attacks as many said he does not practise what he preaches and is worse than the politicians he criticises.
