Gobir Organization Foundation opens scholarship portal for Kwara students

Gobir Organization Foundation, a foremost NGO in Kwara State has on Monday opened scholarship opportunity for Kwara State students in public universities across Nigeria.

The scholarship opportunity which is tagged “High Impact Scholarship 2021 (HIS)” will run from January 11 to February 28, 2021, according to a statement signed by the Secretary of the Foundation, Abdulwahab Tajudeen.

Gobir Organization Foundation hereby invites applications from exceptional prospective and existing undergraduate students of Kwara State origin at public universities across Nigeria to apply for the 2021 High Impact Scholarship (HIS).

Gobir Organization Foundation is an NGO committed to empowering the average native of Kwara, who inspires and provides contentment in the family, confidence in the society, competence in the workplace, compassion in the political front and creativity in the drive towards actualising national growth and development.

As part of our drive to accelerate development, Gobir Organization Foundation is focusing on Human Capital Development with the belief that good education will be an enabler to good lives and will allow people to impact their immediate society positively.

Gobir Organization Foundation is hereby offering scholarships for undergraduate studies in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing Science, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Mathematics/Statistics and IT. The High Impact Scholarship is open to students in public universities in Nigeria.

Eligibility:

I. Applicant must be an indigene of Kwara State and be residing within the State.

II. Applicant must be between 15 and 25 years of age.

III. Applicant must have completed Secondary School with verifiable excellent performance both in WASSCE and Senior Secondary Classes.

IV. Applicant must be morally upright and of good behaviour.

V. Applicant must have a passion for volunteering and Community Service.

VI. Applicant in the second year must be a registered full-time student with at least 3.5 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five (5) point scale or 5.0 on a 7 point scale.

Prospective undergraduate students who are able to secure admission into the universities will be given sponsorship for the duration of their studies.

This scholarship is need-based and gender-balanced. Students from indigent families and educationally disadvantaged rural communities across the 16 local government areas of Kwara State will be given priority. Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
