Sky is for the moon
As fish is for the river
Just like soil is for the ground
Then praise should be for those who are to be praised.
He, who needs to be appreciated
For the great achievement,
He, who sacrifices himself for others,
He, who builds the future for the hopeless,
He, who never belittle the upcoming ones,
He, who never discourages people’s goals.
Who helped me found who I’m really,
He, who wakes me up from my slumber,
He who rebuilt the future which was already falling apart for me,
He rescued me from going astray,
He, who let me know I have a bright future,
He, who gave me hope that coming out from poor background doesn’t mean the end of the road,
He, who cleared the way for me to follow the path,
He gave me hope when I thought I am hopeless,
He, who makes me feel worthy,
He, who taught me what is expected of me,
He, who is more than a boss, but never refer to himself as such for once.
Doing special favors
In a dozen of different ways
Looking out for others
With no thought
Of thanks or praise
Treating us like a family,
Setting good examples too,
These things make a wonderful leader
And they all apply to you!
This day is special and it’s just for you
To tell how much we appreciate you,
We cannot tell how happy we are
To have the boss the way you are,
We have someone who listens to us,
We have someone who guides us through,
The problems could have never been simple
If you had not given us the confidence to fight them through
You have accepted us the way we are
You have made us perform extraordinary better than our colleagues
This day is special and it’s just for you
To tell how much we appreciate you
We cannot tell how happy we are
To have the boss the way you are
I know that when you lead, we succeed,
Because you know what to do,
To be a Boss takes a special breed,
I guess you know that too.
It takes confidence and a steady hand,
To control a successful operation,
The ability to listen and understand,
When those you lead need calibration.
Being a Boss is more than supervision,
It requires common-sense indeed,
And we thank you for that vision,
Because when you lead we succeed.
