Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, former media aide to Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has reacted for the first time to his sack, describing it as an honorable exit.

Yakasai was sacked following his post on Twitter perceived to be critical of the ruling All Progressives Congress/President Muhammadu Buhari led administration on security.

The ex-spokesman was also arrested and detained by the Department of States Security (DSS), in what first appeared like a mysterious disappearance that had tongues wagging.

He would later be released after his arrest was greeted with criticisms and hashtag #FreeDawisu by Twitterati and other Nigerians.

Reacting to his sack, Tanko-Yakasai took to his Twitter page to say, “After five years in government, the goodwill I got after leaving government, is a million times more than the one I got while in government.

He added that his exit is indeed an honourable exit, which, according to him, is rare in Nigeria.

“This is certainly God’s doing and I am eternally grateful to Him for His endless blessings,” he concluded.
