Know Covid19 has developed a policy Brief as regards vaccination in Nigeria. This was made known in a statement made available to the media by the co-founder of the programme, Olasupo Abideen. He stated that the document was developed to guide on preventing fake news that surrounds the vaccination programme in Nigeria.
The statement reads ” the government needs to be transparent and show accountability in purchase and distribution, create more awareness about vaccines and dispel fake news, actively engage religion and traditional leaders, Develop effectively monitoring and Evaluation of the programme leveraging technology, and Ensure equitable distribution of the vaccine across the country.”
The Policy Brief also encouraged the government, civil society, businesses, and individuals to actively collaborate to dispel fake news which may be hazardous to the vaccination programme.
