Emir of Ilorin lauds Foundation, says Waziri a proud son of the soil
Gobir Organization Foundation under the Chairmanship of Waziri Yakubu Gobir on Saturday, April 17, 2021, began the distribution of this year’s Ramadan food items to the Muslim Ummah in Kwara State, starting with the Emir of Ilorin and his chieftains.
The Foundation whose first stop was at the Emir of Ilorin’s palace was welcomed by the personal assistant to the Emir, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Muritala, who praised Waziri Yakubu Gobir for his consistency in providing succour to the less privileged.
Alhaji Muritala said: “On behalf of Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR), I extend my gratefulness to the Chairman of Gobir Organization Foundation, Waziri Yakubu Gobir for his consistency in giving succour to the less privileged.
“It is on the record that Waziri Gobir is one of our pride in Ilorin Emirate and I pray that Allah (SWT) in His infinite mercy continue to guide him, enlarge his path and never deny him rewards for his good deeds,” stated Muritala.
Speaking on the teachings of this holy month, Alhaji Muritala stated that among what Prophet Muhammed (SAW) enjoined us to do in this period is what Gobir Foundation just did, which is giving alms in abundance to the poor in the society.
“This holy month is not all about staying away from food from dawn till dusk, it teaches us piety, almsgiving and to spread love among ourselves as that is the essence of a peaceful society,” Muritala noted.
In the same vein, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Basheer, prayed that Almighty Allah continues to bless Waziri Yakubu Gobir.
He said, “Waziri Gobir has become relentless in easing the affairs of others through his Foundation and it is heartwarming that he is living his life through the way of Allah and the teachings of His Prophet (SAW).”
Imam Imale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullah AbdulHameed described Gobir Foundation’s kind gesture as unexpected and prayed that Allah blesses the Chairman with all his heart’s desires.
Other Ilorin Emirates Chieftains that the Gobir Organization Foundation has extended this year’s Ramadan packages to include: Balogun Fulani, Alhaji Abubakar Sidiq Atiku; Imam Gambari, Alhaji Suleiman Imam Gambari; Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu Adebayo, Balogun Gambari; Mallam Abdullahi Dare Sadiq, Baba Isale of Ilorin; Alhaji Shuaib Aremu Zubair, Magaji Aare of Ilorin; Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf, Balogun Ajikobi; Alhaji Abubakar Jos, Balogun Alanamu; Alhaji Muhammad Jamiu Adebayo, Magaji Ngeri; Galadima Ngeri of Ilorin, Alhaji Usman Adelodun; and the 1st Makama of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Oniye.
