The former minister of youth and sport Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Mai Martaba, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the occasion of his 81st birthday, and described the Emir as a great father.
Abdullahi in a statement released in Ilorin described the Ilorin patriarch as accommodating, understanding, and kindhearted. These qualities have continued to foster a united Ilorin Emirate, ensuring her development and progress, and by extension Kwara and Nigeria at large.
The statement partly read; “As a father, the Emir, over the last 26years of his reign has devised means to accommodate and build solid relationships among the sons and daughters of the great Emirate, and among different religions and traditional authorities of our state, ” he says.
“I pray that the Almighty Allah continue to perfect our Emir, and grant him sound health and many more years as the father to all and as the custodian of our wonderful heritage,” the statement concluded.
