Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that there is nothing to celebrate as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq marks his second year in office, noting his performance has been woeful with nothing tangible to showcase as achievement.

In a statement signed by Engr. Kola Shittu, State Chairman of the party, Governor AbdulRazaq was said to have failed to fulfil several of the promises he and his party (APC) made to Kwarans during the 2019 electioneering.

“It is impossible to find anyone on the streets of Kwara who has a word of praise for Governor Abdulrazaq’s performance in office except his cronies and bootlickers.

“Governor Abdulrazaq has failed woefully on many fronts of governance. There is no significant accomplishment or achievement the governor and his handlers can showcase to Kwarans. We challenge the Governor to point at any landmark project it initiated and completed in any part of the State since he assumed office two years ago,” the party added.

According to the PDP, the present administration has been characterized by sheer incompetence, impunity, growing insecurity, unbridled corruption, contract inflation, divisiveness, illegalities, disrespect to the rule of law, vindictiveness, pettiness and intolerance to dissenting voices, among others.

The party described the report and the recommendation of the white paper committee as ficticious and a mere means to distract Kwarans from the inaptitudenes and failure of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led APC administration in the state.

The Kwara PDP said, “rather than taking responsibility for his incompetence and failures, Governor Abdulrazaq will resort to giving lame excuses, apportion blames and deceive Kwarans with false performance claims, lies and propaganda.”

Concluding, Shittu said, “It is imperative for Governor Abdulrazaq and his party to take responsibility for their failures and should also realize that Kwarans are tired and frustrated with the poor state of governance in the State, and no amount of false claims, lies and propaganda can beguile them.”
