Chairman, Gobir Organization Foundation, Waziri Yakubu Gobir, has rejoiced with Muslims nationwide on the Eid-el-Kabir (Ileya) celebration, urging Muslims to promote selflessness and imbibe the lessons of faith and sacrifice that the holiday represents.

In a Sallah message released by the Foundation’s Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Tajudeen, the philanthropist called on the people of Kwara State and, by extension, Nigeria to extend love to others and prioritise peace and tranquillity before, during and after the Eid festival.

“This festival doesn’t stop with the slaughtering of rams. This season preaches selflessness, sacrifice, fulfilment of individual pledges, sharing love with one’s family and neighbours, and submission to Allah’s will.”

“The Muslim Ummah are charged to extend support, preach peace, and advance good relationships with the people in our community. This period is one time that people mix and relate with others with utmost love and civility,” said Waziri Gobir.

“I celebrate with our father, Mai Maritaba, the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration and pray that Allah grants him many more years.”

“I am using this medium to call upon Kwarans to remain upright and law-abiding citizens during the celebrations. Let us all keep safe, and maintain COVID-19 safety protocols, recognising the rising number of cases of the delta variant of COVID-19. May Allah protect us all. Ameen.”

“Eid Mubarak!”
