Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun late Monday lost his father, Pa Emmanuel Abiodun.
Aged 89, Pa Abiodun reportedly died after a brief illness.
He was a native of Iperu Remo of Ogun State.
The deceased was said to have worked as a teacher for many years across the old Western region.
A statement from the family noted that further announcements would be communicated in due course.
Pa Abiodun is survived by his wife, Victoria Abiodun, many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members.
