Fidelinfo, a media organization based in Ilorin has said that it was not awarded any contract by the Kwara SUBEB, and neither was it involved in any financial transaction with the governmental establishment.
This is coming against the background of a report by another popular media outfit in Ilorin, Fresh Insight.
Fresh Insight had alleged Fidelinfo which it said the media aide to the governor, Mr Olayinka Fafoluyi had the majority shares in of getting contracted by the Kwara SUBEB in the UBEC/SUBEB interventions.
“The company, Fidelinfo Ltd, with address as No. 3, Pipeline Road, opposite Mount Olive Church, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara state is one of the companies registered in 2020 and did not meet the prequalification criteria set for the UBEC/SUBEB intervention projects for years 2014-2019 by KWSUBEB, but was listed as one of the ‘successful bidders’ by the Board in flagrance (sic) disobedience to Section 34 (1) of Kwara state Procurement Agency Law. Fidelinfo Ltd was incorporated on July 17, 2020,” Fresh Insight’s report read in part.
In a reaction by Oludare Michael however, the report was described as “offensive, false, and an attempt to decimate the brand integrity of our organization.”
“We wish to state unequivocally for public record, that Fidelinfo Ltd was neither awarded any contract nor involved in any financial transactions with Kwara SUBEB.
“The content published by FRESH INSIGHT TV, is libelous in all respects to our organization, which is law-abiding.”
Urging the editorial team of FRESH INSIGHT TV, to moderate her overzealousness and engage the governor’s media aide appropriately, Michael said the outfit should not muddle corporate identity with personal issues.
“We hereby ask the management of FRESH INSIGHT TV to withdraw this publication and tender an unreserved apology to Fidelinfo Ltd within seven days or face legal implications of this impropriety,” he warned.
