President Muhammadu Buhari has on Monday launched the e-Naira, a digital currency for Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country.
The launching took place at the State House, Abuja in the presence of Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, amongst other top government officials.
According to Emefiele, the research on the e-Naira has been on as far back as 2017.
