Kwara Assembly will support CELF, Speaker Danladi declares

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Yakubu Saliu Danladi has pledged the continued support of the assembly for the Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship (CELF), reiterating the willingness to sustain the partnership with the state executive towards facilitating budgetary allocation for the fellowship.

Hon. Danladi, who gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy visit on fellows on Friday, commended the efforts of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in investing in the youths from several rural communities across Kwara State.

The Speaker assured the organisers of CELF of the readiness of the state government to further support the initiative, assuring that funding for the fellowship will be budgeted for in order to broaden its capacity and sustainability.

Commenting on the themes of the fellowship, the Speaker charged fellows to make serious attempt towards understanding more about their communities, saying that this would enable them to proffer solutions to identified problems.

Earlier in his welcome address, the convener of the fellowship, Mallam Lawal Olohungbebe expressed gratitude to the Kwara State Government, stating that the approved funds for the camping as well as scholarships for sixteen most outstanding fellows indicated the government’s commitment towards empowering Kwara youths.

In the Speaker’s entourage were Hon. Ndamusa Guyegi and Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel, members representing Edu and Ekiti constituencies respectively.
