AbdulRazaq, Sulu-Gambari, others to grace Saliu Mustapha’s multi-million naira empowerment programme

Several dignitaries including the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, are billed to attend the flag-off of the annual empowerment programme organised by the Saliu Mustapha Foundation on Saturday, April 23.

The foundation had earlier announced a multi-million naira scheme as part of its annual empowerment programme, which started ten years ago.

The nonprofit organization also stated that women and young people will be prioritised when doling out business grants, scholarships and seed capital for small and medium scale businesses.

According to the media information in circulation, the event will be graced by eminent personalities such as traditional rulers, government officials, representatives of different organisations among others.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the special guest of honour while the Emir of Ilorin, in the company of other first class traditional rulers, chairs the occasion as the Royal Father.

Also, the guest lecturer on the theme: “Ojuse WA, Ajose WA, the Responsible Citizens as an Essential Pillar in Nation Building” will be delivered by Dr Lawal Olohungbebe of the Kwara State University, and Sheikh Lukman Isale-Koto of the University of Ilorin.

Others include an erudite scholar, Professor Binta Ajibola Sulyman of the Kwara State University, former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Sunday Fagbemi and another Chieftain of the party, Alhaji LAK Jimoh.

The foundation is a brainchild of Mallam Saliu Mustapha and has fronted humanitarian and developmental interventions in different sectors in Kwara state for nearly two decades.
