Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has presented a 32-seater bus to the state’s football team, Kwara United Football Club, as he pledged to continue supporting the team in securing their place among the Elite clubs in Nigeria Football.

The club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, while receiving the keys to the bus from the governor, acknowledged that the gesture was to further enhance the proper movement of the players, stating that other issues would be addressed.

The team was charged to continue staying resolute in the league and reciprocate the act by maintaining good standing in the summit.

The chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, while reacting to the intervention, appreciated the Governor as he described it as a “morale booster”.

“It’s absolutely a morale-boosting gesture, and we must appreciate Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. It will go a long way in assisting the team’s cause.

“I will also want to appeal to him to look into the club’s additional demands, especially in the ongoing season, as we hope to achieve the targets set.

Kwara United currently occupies the 6th position on the NPFL table, as the Chairman says the target set is still achievable, considering the number of matches yet to be played.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, praised the Governor for approving the 32-seater Coaster bus for the team, insisting that such a gesture will propel the team to do great things.

“It’s a commendable gesture, as it will reduce the transportation associated problems of the team, and also propel them to do better in the ongoing league.

“We know there are other challenges. Government will do the needful at the appropriate time, but the team too has to encourage the government to do more, with improved performances.
