The management of the Kwara State University (KWASU) has invited Saliu Mustapha, an All Progressives Congress chieftain, for a hangout aimed at mentoring young people.

The event, scheduled for June 1, will feature a robust interaction with students, the Vice Chancellor and many stakeholders in the university community.

This was contained in a letter addressed to Mustapha and was signed by the institution’s Head of Creative Arts and Tourism, Professor Binta Sulyman.

According to the don, the event is one of the programmes lined up to mark the 2nd year in office of Prof. Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi as the second substantive Vice Chancellor of the University.

“It is a purposefully structured programme for secondary school students to feel the ambience of the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship.

The young stars shall have the opportunity to have access to the University facilities and to have live interactive sessions with the University Management ably led by the Vice Chancellor,” she stated.

She further stated that it will be an opportunity for young stars to interact with Mustapha and benefit from his leadership qualities as a successful technocrat, businessman, and politician.

“We believe that the memory of this event shall linger for a very long time among these young stars and the KWASU community at large.”

Professor Sulyman also conveyed the appreciation of the school to Mustapha, who recently donated five million naira for a library project.

“The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the KWASU community is using this opportunity to appreciate your recent kind gesture and unprecedented generous donation of five million naira (N5million) to support our Art gallery, Museum and Ilorin Manuscripts, housed by the magnificent Muhammadu Buhari Main Library.”
