Toyin Agaka, an aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the ticket of the Ilorin Central Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly has warned the public to disregard self-serving declaration by the camp of Olawoyin Mogaji, the incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency.
The Ravens NG reports that news of Mogaji clinching the APC ticket has been circulating round the social media.
In a statement, Agaka who is challenging Mogaji in the race said no election has held yet at the Pacific Hotel, Ilorin where the contest was billed to take place.
“We have been waiting since morning but no election and the officials have not been on ground. To my dismay, I received a report from one (of) the online media outlets now that my co-contestant Hon. Olawoyin emerge when there is no election,” the statement read.
“The information should be disregarded and we warn media outlet to shun misinformation.”
