Kwara APC: Ali Jimoh gets first ‘breakfast’, as Arinola Lawal clinches assembly ticket

Member representing Ilorin East Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ali Jimoh Amuda has reportedly failed to secure the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in his bid to get re-elected for the seat.

Jimoh lost to Arinola Lawal who is a daughter of late former governor of the state, Muhammad Alabi Lawal.

Lawal, The Ravens NG gathered, secured 47 votes in the primary election that took place on Thursday in Ilorin, leaving Jimoh as the first runner up with 13 votes.

Arinola was until her declaration for elective position commissioner for business, innovation and technology in the state. She also served as commissioner for water resources in the early days of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration.

Meanwhile, The Ravens NG also learnt that Bashir Amule who was also in the race could not get a single vote to his name.
