Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammad says threats by terrorists to abduct Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is mere propaganda and laughable.
The minister made the statement after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, on Wednesday, July 25, 2022.
“As to those who have issued threats to Mr. President, I think it’s mere propaganda. It is laughable,” he told State House correspondents.
Terrorists suspected to have instigated the Abuja-Kaduna train attack had threatened to kidnap the President alongside Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai in a viral video where they were seen giving their victims some strokes of cane.
They threatened to sell off their captives as slaves if their demands are not met.
