All Progressives Congress candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal House of Representatives, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, has commiserated with victims of the fire incident which gutted a section of the popular Alanamu Market in Ilorin.
The section affected by the late night inferno included shops as well as goods worth millions of Naira reportedly lost to the fire.
Shagaya, who visited the market to inspect the extent of damage by the inferno, supported the victims with the sum of #1,000,000 (One Million Naira) which he said would assist the traders affected by the outbreak to get back to their businesses.
“I have just finished inspecting the burnt section of the Alanamu market here in Ilorin where there was a fire incident in the market last Sunday, July 24, 2022. It is obvious that a lot of persons have been affected because we saw that virtually all the stores in that section have totally been brought down by the fire”.
“I also appreciated Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his quick intervention on ‘Cash Relief Disbursement’ to victims of market inferno”.
“I commiserated with Balogun Alanamu, Dr. Usman Abubakar Jos, and those who lost their goods to the unfortunate fire incident, I emphasized that the relief fund of #1,000,000 (One Million Naira) to support the affected traders is to enable them get back to business”, Shagaya said.
In his remarks, Balogun Alanamu, Dr. Usman Abubakar Jos, appreciated Mallam Muktar Shagaya for his gesture while praying Almighty Allah grant him success in his aspiration.
