In celebration of independence day, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, reached out to market women on Saturday where he gave out cash to random petty traders.
The funds, however, aimed to aid petty traders to boost their businesses and yield more earnings to cater for their daily needs and families.
The exercise was carried out, as championed by his campaign media team, in three selected markets in Ilorin; Mandate market, Oloje Market and Oja Tuntun market. Beneficiaries were picked at random and each of them were gifted support funds to promote their small enterprise.
In his remark, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya explained his optimism about the productivities of Ilorin West and Asa people even with such amount, “I believe the beneficiaries can use the benefited cash to boost their businesses and have more earnings to look after their family. And I promise all comfort if reposed with the trust to represent the Ilorin West/Asa constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.”
Beneficiaries from across the three selected markets hailed the munificent gesture of Mallam Shagaya and prayed for his success at the 2023 poll.
