Wife of Colonel Theophilus Bamigboye (retd), a former military administrator of Bauchi and Osun states, Mrs Jumoke Bamigboye, on Monday, regained her freedom from her kidnappers who abducted her on Saturday in Oko Olowo area, Ilorin, in the Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State.

It was gathered that Mrs Jumoke, a judicial officer in Kwara State and a member of the Rotary Club International, was kidnapped by gunmen on the way from her farm.

The kidnappers, who later got in contact with her family, demanded a ransom of N100m, which was later negotiated to N50m as of Monday evening.

Mr Theophilus, who had earlier informed newsmen of her abduction, confirmed on Tuesday that she had been released.

He was, however, silent on the amount paid to the hoodlums.

“She was set free and released on Monday, we thank God for her safety but not without payment of ransom.”

In the same vein, Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed that three suspects had been arrested in connection with the kidnap of Mrs Bamigboye, who is a magistrate in the Kwara State Judiciary.
