Abou Hurairah, a commander of the deadly Boko Haram sect has been eliminated alongside other warlords after surviving several military attacks.

The assault was carried out by the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) with the use of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha jets, in his hideout in Marte Local Government Area, Borno.

Before Hurairah was eliminated, he had led fellow Boko Haram members to perpetuate many attacks in Monguno very recently.

“He also coordinated attacks in Marte, Ngala, Kukawa, and Abadam,” a defence intelligence source was quoted.

The elimination of Hurairah came after the extermination of over 100 terrorists in Bama LGA in December last year, where the mission, conducted at Mantari village saw the elimination of Khalid Tukur, Maimusari and Bakura Jega, who are thought to be leaders of the sect, by the Air Component of OPHK.
