Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom has revealed that G5 governors are up till this time committed members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and are assiduously working to win for the party in their respective states.

He stated this during the PDP state gubernatorial campaign flag-off in Ibadan, Oyo state capital on Thursday, 5th January 2023.

Governor Ortom declared that the G5 governors and other people working with them in the integrity group are “committed members of the PDP in their various states” and will work with all the instruments in their hands to drive all the PDP candidates to emerge victorious during the polls.

He further stated that the destabilization of the party can be traced to the national leadership of the party, for they have neglected the interests of many members and failure to deploy sound conflict resolution mechanisms to arrest the issues that gripped the party after the national convention.

Ortom praised the good work of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo and assured him that the people of Oyo are known to be “grateful” and they would return the favour by voting for him for a second term.

He appreciated the people of Oyo for the large turnout the party witnessed at the campaign flag-off as a pointer to PDP victory during the polls in March.
