Special Assistant to Kwara governor on Communications, Ibraheem Abdullateef (Akolu), on Saturday led leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a massive rally for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and all the candidates of the party in the state.

The rally which was organised by the APC Abeemi/Itamerin Joint Zone had excited participants trekked from Abeemi to Pakata, to Anifowoshe, Oloje, Alore and back to Itamerin.

At every stop, commercial riders, traders, and residents cheered the crowd in show of support for the ruling party in the state.

Afterwards, the crowd converged at Itamerin junction where the governor’s aide unveiled a billboard for Tinubu and other APC candidates.

The unveiling was done by Commissioner for Business and Innovation Technology Ibrahim Akaje, Special Assistant Political (Central) Abubakar Suleiman Sai Kayi, Special Assistant on Agriculture (Central) and several other chieftains.

While addressing members at the event, Abdullateef, who hailed from Abeemi/Itamerin community, appealed to them to vote for AbdulRazaq to continue his good works to enhance the growth and development of Kwara State.

“We have tried, trusted and tested them and they failed woefully. We have nothing to show for it here. They should never be an option again. We have all seen the changes recorded by the governor in education, health, infrastructure, women and youth development in the last three years. Our collective resolve is to support him to continue the good work,” Abdullateef said to the loud applause of the crowd.

He listed the ongoing road projects and appointments given to the community, saying that they will get more from the government if supported for the second term.

“I believe strongly that we know where we were and what we have gotten in this community now. We will even get more. All we have to do is to vote for Tinubu, AbdulRazaq and all APC candidates. To go forward, we have to elect credible leaders.”

On his part, Akaje recounted the contributions of the entire Ajikobi Ward to the emergence of the APC-led government in 2019, charging them to remain resolute and deliver in the forthcoming polls.

Sai Kayi, SA Political, said he was impressed by the large turnout at the rally. He commended the organizers, noting that he was confident the party will sweep the 2023 polls in the state and country.
