Joao Felix has joined Chelsea FC on loan until the end of the season according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
According to the reports, Felix signed a contract extension until 2027 for Atletico Madrid before joining the Blues for a reported loan fee of €11 million with no option to buy.
Felix reportedly fell out with his manager, Diego Simeone earlier this season as a result of the system in place at the Wanda Metropolitano hence limiting his game time for the Roji Blancos.
The 23-year-old, who made the switch to Spain from Portuguese outfit, Benfica, for €127 million in 2019, is yet to live up to the expectations placed on him since the move.
He represented his nation, Portugal in the just concluded world cup in Qatar where the Seleçao were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Morocco.
He will now travel to London to complete the necessary requirements before becoming a bonafide member of Chelsea’s squad.
