No Foreign country should meddle in Nigeria’s election – Buhari warns

Less than two months to Nigeria general election, President Muhammad Buhari has sent a clear warning to foreign countries not to be involved in Nigeria’s election.

The warning was issued while Buhari received Letters of Credence from Ambassadors of Sweden, Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of South Sudan in Abuja on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Buhari advised the ambassadors to respect diplomacy practices and go about their duties as ambassadors diligently.

“As Nigerians prepare to elect another government at the general elections on 25th February 2023, President Buhari renewed his call to foreign government representatives not to meddle in Nigeria’s internal affairs”, he said.
