Whenever an opinion crosses my mind, I usually reminisce on the foundation of thoughts that constitute such insight. This particular one is driven by the metaphoric meaning of a motivating popular Arabic poem that says(أحسن إلي الناس تستعبد قلوبهم…)”you will surely win people’s hearts, when you magnanimously deal with them”
The candidacy of Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin, under the APC as a prospective Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, covering mainly the city of Ilorin, has generated enormous hopes for the victory of his party ahead of the polls, this is in addition to the unalloyed optimism in the minds of the masses due to his several impacts.
Observing the evident general acceptance at various MSM’s ongoing campaign movements to wards and several communities in his constituency serve as testimony to his pervading interest in leading people through the dark, this act is synonymous with progressive development as well as the impressive recognition of his glamorous personality that has the basis for unity, peace, and progress, which is undisputedly essential to the human race and the absence of such is, of course, a bane of human woe.
It is however pertinent to reference my personal experience on my coincidental entourage as part of Turaki’s campaign train on 19th January to some few communities in the Ilorin metropolis. I witnessed the unprecedented outpour of love, and boundless drums of support as Turaki was cheerfully appreciating how the people he’s meant to campaign for have become expansive volunteering campaigners of his ambition in the nook and cranny of Kwara Central.
Even though there’s a popular trend on how some people pay good with evil, it’s noteworthy to acknowledge the exoneration of the people of Ilorin Emirate from such unpleasant acts as the overwhelming majority support for Turaki has reflected on our Islamic heritage which emphasizes gratitude as the hallmark of godliness.
Lo and behold, a man whose most important adventure of commitment is to ensure ability where there’s disability and stability where there’s instability has obviously been unilaterally endorsed by the people of Kwara Central.
Success they say is more of achievement than victory, it’s safe to say you’ve achieved the fulfillment of your aspiration even before the polls.
Even though circumstances taught us that the game of politics is tough, dirty, and dynamic. You summoned the courage with decorum and took it upon yourself to be on the verge of influencing the socioeconomic resources needed for the development of your people. And their prayers are audible to the deaf to see you triumph victoriously in the coming elections, so as to enjoy the success your administration shall bestow upon all as a “Senator for all”
