Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United manager has sent a warning to England attacker, Jadon Sancho, after the ex-Dortmund winger returned for United in a 2-2 draw against Leeds on Wednesday.
Ten Hag expressed his joy to see Sancho on the score sheet, but he has issued a stern warning to the winger to continue working hard if he wants to continue getting playing chances with the team.
United came from two goals behind to snatch a 2-2 draw against Leeds at Old Trafford, courtesy of a goal each from in-form Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
The goal meant that Sancho has scored his first goal in 2023 with his last goal in September 2022.
Explaining why he brought on Sancho, Ten Hag said after the game, “I wanted a different dynamic. At that moment we weren’t in the game. Luckily it succeeded because we scored two goals.
“Very happy. He’s all the way back. We know he’s a magnificent player. I think consistently he can have a big impact. But he has to work hard.”
