Football and Argentine legend have passed away at 60 after he had a successful brain blood clot surgery in early November.

Maradona is widely regarded as one of the best Athlete to have ever played the round leather game, and by many, he’s the greatest footballer. Diego was one of the two joint winners of the best FIFA player in 20th century.

Maradona earned 91 international caps for the Argentina National team scoring 34 goals in the process. He played in four World cups, including the 1986 edition in Mexico where he captained the team, leading them to glory over West Germany in final, and won the Golden ball as the most valuable player of the tournament.

He’ll be remembered for his stellar display in the quarter-finals against England where Argentina defeated England by 2-1. Maradona scored both goals where the first goal was the famous “Hand of God”, while the second goal followed a 60 m (66 yds) dribble past five England players, voted “Goal of the Century” by FIFA.com voters in 2002.
