Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Oluwo of Iwo has advised Nigerians to vote for candidate who can answer questions and also with corruption-free agenda during the 2023 polls.
This much was known in his new year address to Nigerians in Oshogbo which was made available to newsmen on Saturday by his spokesperson, Alli Ibraheem. He further explained that the hardship in Nigeria is occasioned by corrupt leaders and the inability of Nigerian masses to ask critical questions from past leaders.
Oba Akanbi also called on Nigerians to vote candidate with proven track records to ensure a nation without corruption.
“I am so optimistic in Nigeria and Nigerians. Nigeria is blessed with rich resources enough to cater for the needs of all and sundry.
“The only bane to our desired growth is corruption and corrupt politicians. 2023 is here and will present a golden opportunity to right the wrong by voting for credible individuals without blemish to lead us to greatness. Electorates can restore sanity by asking questions and ensure candidates with corrupt-free agenda are voted for.
“Our destiny is in our hands. I urge Nigerians to speak with their votes by rejecting corrupt politicians who are likely to contribute to Nigeria’s woes.
“I express the hope that reasonable Nigerians will have the opportunity to place Nigerians on the path to greatness once again with their votes,” he concluded.
