The management of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has appointed Professor Noah Yusuf as the new Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The erudite Professor of Sociology is to pilot and govern the affairs of the University, and carry it to her utmost pinnacle.
Until his appointment, Prof. Yusuf is the Director of the University of Ilorin’s Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies (CPSS).
He also taught at the Department of Sociology, University of Ilorin and headed the department at various times.
Hailing his appointment, a high-ranking academic, Dr. Mahfouz Adedimeji said the decision of Al-Hikmah varsity was a round peg in a round hole.
His words read in part: “Prof. Noah Yusuf, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, symbolises the best that the University system can produce. And it is highly inspiring that the authorities of that fledgeling University have again put a round peg in a round hole – wonderful!”
