The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said that Nigeria is on ventilator gasping for breath, asking President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over corruption and insecurity.

National Chairman, PDP, Mr Uche Secondus made this statement in a media briefing tagged, “Nigeria in a free fall, as corruption, insecurity engulfs the Nation” currently holding at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Secondus noted that corruption has become institutionalized under Mr Buhari, citing the ongoing corruption investigations at the NDDC, MIC, NEDC, NSITF, EFCC and others as a case in point.

In his words, “What we are witnessing in our country today is a total collapse of the nation, the country is on ventilator gasping for air, under such circumstance, President Buhari should do the honourable thing required of an elder statesman in situations like this, throw in the towel because Nigeria is on and save the country from ruins.

“As we speak, the big corruption cover up is on-going in critical sectors, the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, the Maritime Sector, the Customs, the Federal inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Nigeria Social Insurance a Trust Fund, NSITF, North East Development Commission, NNPC crude Oil sale to China etc.”
