Oshiomole cheats death in fatal accident that claimed the lives of two

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Adams Oshiomole has cheated death in a fatal accident that claimed the lives of two policemen in his convoy, subjecting many others to varying degrees of injuries.

Mr Oshiomole was heading to Usen, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State for an election rally when the incident occurred.

According to a source, “The accident occurred close to Oluku junction, along Benin-Ore highway when a trailer ran into the backup security vehicle of the former governor of Edo State who was travelling to join the candidate of APC, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and other top chieftains of the party in a rally scheduled at Usen, Ovia South-west Local Government Area of the state.

“The trailer ran into the vehicle conveying the police from the back, knocked it into the bush, before hitting Oshiomhole’s car, causing the death of two policemen in the convoy.”

The rally was cancelled due to the incident, as injured persons now receive medical attention in the hospital.

Meanwhile, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has since commiserated with Mr Oshiomole and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, APC’s gubernatorial candidate on the sad event.
