A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President, Gobir Foundation, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has sent his condolences to several victims of rainstorm and flood in Kwara State.
The rainstorm, which occured last Saturday, had wreaked havoc on many families, leading to loss of lives and valuable property.
In a statement, the foremost industrialist and philanthropist told the victims not to despair but continue to trust in God, while pledging to offer support through his Non-Governmental Organisation.
“Waziri particularly noted that the victims of the Saturday night rainstorm have been deprived of roofs over their heads and a place of succour for their families. He asked them not to despair but to continue to believe in the power of Almighty Allah to meet them at the point of their needs.
“Waziri promised to provide relief materials and come to the aid of the victims through his Foundation. Similarly, he also sympathised with farmers who were victims of floods in Lafiaji,” the statement read.
