“On behalf of my family and entire members of Salman Shagaya Foundation, I felicitate with His Royal Highness the Emir of Ilorin and the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR) on the occasion of 25th anniversary on the throne of his forebears,” Sheriff said in a statement signed by Press Secretary Ibraheem Abdullateef.
“Ilorin keeps growing at a frenetic pace as arguably the most peaceful city in Northern Nigeria while attracting development in all areas of human endeavour. Ilorin sons and daughters are shattering records in politics, business, and education. There is no denying the sterling leadership of His Royal Highness to these landmark developments. No doubt, his wise counsel, good luck, and openness are invaluable.
“On my part, I will continue to offer my best to the city and the people of Kwara state. The people make a community but the leaders stand for them. It is on that note I salute them for their support for the emir and his council while reiterating the readiness to do more for the progress of Ilorin emirate and Kwara state as a whole.
“I, therefore, congratulate His Royal Highness on the 25th anniversary of his rise to the throne of Sheik Alimi and pray Almighty Allah to grant him a long, prosperous, and enduring reign in sound health. I also rejoice with the entire Ilorin emirate on the anniversary of the Seriki n Musulumi.”
