Gobir Organization Foundation yesterday announced her plan to train and empower ten (10) young Kwarans through her new initiative tagged “DEEP.”

DEEP is an acronym for De-radicalization, Education, and Empowerment Programme.

The Foundation owned by a prominent Ilorite, Waziri Yakubu Gobir, has since its inception recorded great feats in human development.

DEEP, meant for at-risk youth, is targeted at taking reckless youths off the streets, according to an opinion article written by the Foundation’s Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Tajudeen.

“As the Press Secretary of the Gobir Organization Foundation, I had the opportunity to meet with some of these at-risk youth during the selection process. Their individual stories are touching. Personally, this experience has changed my perspective on life, and I am more grateful for what Allah has done for me,” wrote Tajudeen.

While commenting on the development, one of the beneficiaries, Kazeem Hanafi, said he cannot express his joy in words as he will continue to be indebted to the Foundation and its Chairman for the opportunity given to him.

The 3-month training will commence on Monday, 1st March 2021, at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, and beneficiaries will have access to funds and equipment at the end of the training.

Beneficiaries are Yusuf Fawas Yaro, Soliu Ramat Opeyemi, Sharafadeen Fatimah, Kazeem Hanafi, Haruna Musa Omotolani, Husamat Abdullahi Hamzat, Shamsudeen Gobir, Sulyman Taofeeqat, Oyeyemi Amos, and Sharafadeen Salaudeen.
