Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated members of the 9th State House of Assembly on their second anniversary as lawmakers, calling them patriots who have shown adequate understanding of the developmental needs of the state, and are making sacrifices required to pull through the phase.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on Thursday commemorating the second anniversary of the Assembly, AbdulRazaq said the lawmakers, despite being mostly first-timers in the House, have demonstrated courage, maturity, loyalty and love for the people, and commitment to the ruling All Progressives Congress in the discharge of their duties.

“The Honourable House, led by the affable Rt. Honourable Speaker Yakubu Danladi Salihu, has shown commitment to public good. Their carriage, discipline, smooth relationship with their constituents, and excellent relationship with the executive branch underscore their full understanding of the need of the moment. On behalf of the people of Kwara State and members of the state executive council, I commend members of the 9thHouse of Assembly for their sense of duty and the good job they have been doing. Together, we have changed the Kwara story for positive reasons, and history will not forget their noble roles in how, within just two years, our state is regaining its position in human capital development, improved mass access to basic needs, and excellent people-government relations,” the statement said.

“While looking forward to more years of harmonious relationship, I urge the lawmakers to continue along this fine trajectory of being attentive to the needs of the people as the last two years have shown.”
