Qatar 2022: Doubtful Lukaku in contention, De Bruyne, a part as Belgium names 26-men squad

The ‘Red Devils’ of Belgium has released a list of 26-men squad to get execute the Qatar 2022 world cup which is set to kickoff on the 20th of this month.

Romelu Lukaku, who has endured a trouble start due to injury to the 2022/23 season in Italian Serie A since his return to Inter Milan from Chelsea also received a call up.

The former Chelsea striker was touted to be a doubt for the showpiece due to hamstring and thigh injuries in recent months, but he has now been passed fit to feature for the Roberto Martinez side in Qatar.

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Simon Mignolet (Club Brugge), Koen Casteels (VfL Wolfsburg).

Defenders: Jan Vertonghen (Anderlecht), Toby Alderweireld (Royal Antwerp), Wout Faes (Leicester), Arthur Theate (Rennes), Zeno Debast (Anderlecht), Thomas Meunier (Borussia Dortmund), Timothy Castagne (Leicester).

Midfielders: Kevin De Bruyne (Man City), Youri Tielemans (Leicester), Amadou Onana (Everton), Axel Witsel (Atletico Madrid), Hans Vanaken (Club Brugge), Leander Dendoncker (Aston Villa), Yannick Carrasco (Atletico Madrid), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Dortmund).
