In a bid to ensure proper cleanliness in Ilorin communities, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Federal House of Representatives for Asa/ Ilorin West constituency, Mallam Muktar Shagaya has today fulfilled a promise he had earlier made to the people of Abata Suban, Alanamau community during his communities visitation across Ilorin West and Asa some weeks back.
Shagaya, during an on-site visit, had promised a quick evacuation of the dumpsite. The dumpsite is confirmed to have been in existence for over 40 years.
Today, a unit of the Muktar Shagaya Campaign Organization visited and immediately expedited the action of evacuating refuse at the landfill.
Shagaya, while interacting with the people of the community had said, “Apart from the environmental benefits, protection from pollution or contamination, a dumpsite like this in our environment is that which will hide the beauty of our community, hence our collective efforts to make sure that we put a site like this in a proper condition
As a member of this community, I’ll take it upon myself to evacuate this dumpsite very soon. For I believe a safe environment is what our people in Alanamu deserve. And that’s what we’ll give.” Shagaya concluded.
Shagaya also promises to continue intervening on issues that can bring protection to the people of his constituency.
Appreciating the gesture, Mr .Olamilekan Tanimola Itakudima lauded the intervention while praying for the successful outing of the candidate at the forthcoming general election.
