One dies as police clashes with Yoruba Nation agitators

In the altercation that erupted between the Yoruba Nation agitators and the police in Ojota area of Lagos state has led to the death of an person whose identity is yet to be known.

This was, however confirmed by the spokesperson of the police in Lagos state, Benjamin Hundeyin.

It was reported that some agitators were out to demand for Yoruba Nation, and the arrival of the police to curb it led to clash. Shortly after they took to the streets, the men of the Lagos State Police Command came out in procession with a detachment of personnel from the Rapid Response Squad, State Taskforce and conventional divisional officers.

Security operatives arrived at the scene and shot teargas to disperse the crowd.

A police van was reportedly burnt in the ensuing outrage

As the in heat of the altercation, the commuters ran to safety
