All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward of Ilorin West Local Government, Kwara State, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, held a rally and solidarity long walk.

However, the expression of support and solidarity long walk was dubbed “mother of all events”.

This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen in Ilorin by APC Oju Ekun/Zatumi

“The Asa/Ilorin West House of Representatives candidate of the APC, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya alongside the Kwara Central Senatorial candidate, Mallam Saliu Mustapha together with House of Assembly candidates for Ajikobi-Alanamu Constituency, Hajia Aishat Tundun Alanamu; Magaji Ngeri Constituency, Barrister Ọba AbdulKadir Magaji; Ilorin South Constituency, Alhaja Maryam Aladi; Owode-Onire Constituency, Miss Rukayat Shittu; Afon Constituency, Mallam Oniboki; state executive officers, government functionaries and thousands of party members virtually shut down Ilorin, as the mammoth crowd that thronged the Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward of the rally spot spilled across the roads and all over the zones and local assemblies took well over five hours for the APC train to conclude the talk of the town mega rally.

“The mammoth crowd began the rally from the ward secretariat to Omoda-roundabout with the focus next to the Ode-Babaita junction. As the crowd cheered in joy passed through Abayawo Street to Kongbari Street, the train relentlessly paid a courtesy visit to Magaji Zarumi of Ilorin in Adangba community while passing through Ode-Fara with elated cheers from the crowd. The next stop was to unveil the Achievers Progressive Forum’s billboard erected in support of the APC candidates while passing through Oke-Apomu street linking Ojuekun road. The crowd of the APC train called at Magaji Ojuekun palace to seek royal blessings and prayers for APC candidates as the next stop was to pay tribute to Baba Adefalu’s house. Meanwhile, while moving to Baba Olosasa’s house, Turaki of Ilorin and Mallam Muktar Shagaya paid tribute to Alhaji Adeshina and then moved to Olosasa’s. The long walk for victory had its beautiful ending at the popular Omoda-roundabout.

“Behold, Ojuekun/Zarumi has unanimously decided that they won’t let any opposition back in. Oppositions only want to devour what they could not take the first time. They want to strip Kwara and Nigeria bare to the bone; they won’t be given any chance.” The statement concluded.
