Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, lawmaker representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly has expressed sadness over the passing of Alhaji Ibrahim Dan-Boy, noting that the Ilorin Emirate has lost a walking encyclopedia.

Oloriegbe said that the late Dan-Boy was an elderly statesman reputed for his zestful personality revolving around the promotion of socio-cultural activities in his community.

In a statement made available to The Ravens today, the senator commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, and the entire Ilorin Emirate.

He said, “I felt so pained by the news of the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Dan-Boyi. He is an all-rounder socialite who endeared his memories in the hearts of both young and old with his publicity stunts that cut across all facets of entertainment. I doubt if there was anyone that grew up in Ilorin from the ’60s till this present moment that wouldn’t have come across him for one reason or another.

“Alh. Dan-Boyi in his one-man-mopol coordination would always have a nostalgic story to narrate about virtually all events in our community. He was no doubt a walking encyclopedia.

“I commiserate with our royal father, The Emir of Ilorin and the Emirate Councils as well as the immediate family of the deceased over this irredeemable loss that occurred to us. May Almighty Allah forgive all his transgressions and grant him eternal rest.”
