The 2020/21 football season in the premiership will kickstart on the 12th of September, and the final round of matches will be played on the 23rd of May. The FA announced on Friday.

The EPL was designed to begin on August 8 before the suspension of the 2019/20 football season all over the world for three months due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.

The Premiership clubs will have seven weeks of rest to prepare for the 2020/2021 season after the final round of matches comes up on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the teams participating in the continent football, either the Champions League or the Europa League will have less time to rest provided they advance to the knockout stages of both tournaments.

The Final of both tournaments comes up on the 21st and 23rd of August respectively.

Nations League matches scheduled to hold between September 3rd and September 8th.

The new season will kick off after the international break according to the European football governing body UEFA.
