Kwara State government has confirmed the receipt of former Commissioner for Special Duties, Aisha Ahman-Pategi’s resignation letter, wishing her the best in her future endeavors.
This came on the heels of controversies surrounding her resignation since a statement surfaced on social media in the morning confirming the development, after which a dismissal also showed up.
Putting all controversies to rest, Commissioner for Communications, Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin issued a statement upholding her resignation.
It reads, “The government has received the resignation of Hon. Aishah Ahman-Pategi who was Commissioner for Special Duties.
“The government accepts same, and wishes her the best in her future endeavours.”
Ahman-Pategi’s resignation came amid investigation into alleged diversion of 300 million naira local government funds for which the outgoing commissioner was involved.
She had previously manned the Local Government Ministry before a cabinet reshuffle ordered by the governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, seeing her renamed as Commissioner for Special Duties.
