The Kwara State government has today reviewed the time frame of the ongoing curfew in the state.

The Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had, at the initial stage, ordered a total curfew following the spate of attacks on public and private facilities in the state.

He, however, relaxed it to a partial one that runs from 8am to 6pm.

In a new development, the partial curfew is to run from 6am to 8pm.

“The curfew in Ilorin metropolis has been reviewed. Movement is now restricted only between 8p.m. and 6a.m,” a statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor read.

It continues: “Kwarans may see more joint patrols by security agencies within the metropolis and across the state. It is to strengthen the gains of the past few days and keep criminal elements at bay.

“Citizens are to go about their lawful business without any fear.”
